Kaname Madoka is the central character in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. She is depicted as a timid young girl with a strong sense of love and justice. She was a magical girl in the past but due her death in one timeline and her transformation into the most powerful witch in another, Akemi Homura has repeatedly jumped timelines in order to save her from her doomed fate. She is good friends with Miki Sayaka and sees Tomoe Mami as an older and mature magical girl. She rewrites the laws of the universe in order to protect the world that holds the people she loves and also Homura's efforts. She becomes an entity like a god that erases witches before they are born. Her weapon is a bow and arrow. She is thought to be the most powerful magical girl to have ever lived because Homura's repeated time jumping centered around Madoka making her the center of karmic destiny.
