For anyone who likes toned down supernatural, realistic love stories, love stories, drama and a bit of tragedy; Orange Marmalade is a great read. The characters are all great, there is no 'magic fixes' to suddenly sort out problems and it balances joy and sorrow. It's really funny and cute and I had a lot of fun reading it although the manga set up online is somewhat weird to read (they aren't single pages but more like long pages).
Orange Marmalade follows the life of a young girl and vampire Ma Rin who lives in a universe where vampires have 'come out of the coffin' but life for them is still quite hard and so she must hide her true self. One day she falls asleep on the train and slips up. With filed fangs she accidentally gives the popular Jae Min a hickey whilst trying to taste his sweet blood. This little mark starts Ma Rin's journey of love and loss.
