It is more often than not an anime is a manga first but like movies to books which one is better? Personally I usually prefer the story lines in the manga but love the art of the anime if it has been made modern. I also love watching it all in action. Anime and manga are almost the only two things that really bring out the girly side in me; more anime really. Especially comedies, the reactions - I love them and I giggle. one of my favourites definitely has to be from Ouran High when Tamaki is giving off puppy eyes because he wants to help the newspaper club haha!
