Takane to Hana.
Plot:
When Hana replaces
her sister at an omiai, little does she expect to be insulted and called a gold
digger by the handsome and older Takane! Furious, she throws her wig in his
face and leaves. Unexpectedly she gets asked out on a date by Takane the next
day. How will these two ever find love?
My Opinion/Recommendation
Takane to Hana is definitely in my
Top 5 of ongoing Shoujo manga. You see the familiar ingredients of a Shoujo
manga but its humour is addictive. This is mainly credit due to the artwork
itself. The expressions drawn in this manga are the most hilarious that I’ve
seen. The element of the forbidden romance between an adult and student, coupled
with the fact that he is a business man, is thrilling and I’m always eagerly
awaiting the next chapter. With both protagonists equally strong there is no
room for frowning at a whiny damsel in distress. Every character is likeable
and loveable (except that creepy CEO).
